Mama Teaches Reviews the PRIDE Reading Program

Brandi from Mama Teaches just gave PRIDE Reading Program the most wonderful review! After her son received a dyslexia diagnosis, the veteran homeschooling mom struggled to find teaching methods that worked for his brain.

“At the time,”  she writes, “there were very few options for homeschool dyslexia curriculum and we did what we had to do.”

Of course, Brandi worked hard to research the options that were available. As a result, she discovered the Orton-Gillingham method. And although this method is one of the oldest and most successful methods for teaching children with specific learning difficulties, it isn’t a curriculum. It take hours upon hours of training to become certified. Moreover, even after becoming certified, finding great materials are curriculum still falls to you. And no mom has time for that, let alone a homeschooling mom!

However, PRIDE Reading Program puts over 15 years of Orton-Gillingham expertise into the curriculum itself so any parent can use it after a 2-3 hour training.

“Had I had access to the materials and support included in the PRIDE Reading Program’s Homeschool curriculum, I highly doubt that we would have used outside tutors or enrolled him in an online charter school,” Brandi asserts. “PRIDE Reading Program is the first program I have had experience with where I left the training completely confident in my ability to teach an O-G based program.”
