PRIDE Reading Program is proud to announce that the Urbana School District located in Urbana, Illinois is now using the PRIDE Reading Program’s structured literacy curriculum for students with dyslexia and specific learning disabilities.
The Urbana School District is a public school district located in Urbana, Illinois that currently serves 4,425 students in grades PK, K–12. Implementing the PRIDE Reading Program structured literacy curriculum to address the specific needs of the district’s struggling students will greatly support the district’s efforts to provide evidence-based reading instruction and benefit the district’s students with dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, speech and language deficits and other learning differences.
The PRIDE Reading Program is an evidence-based method that is structured, sequential, multisensory, and cumulative. The curriculum explicitly teaches children with dyslexia, auditory processing, and other learning differences how to read, spell, write, and comprehend. Many school districts across the United States are using the PRIDE Reading Program structured literacy curriculum with great success.
