Sound Cards and Picture Card
Review and Drill previously learned Sound Cards at the beginning of every lesson. Students will say the letter (s) name and give each sound it represents.
New material is introduced with a Picture Card in the Introduction Lesson. The Picture Card is in the Students’s Workbook.
Skywriting is in the Practice Lesson
Skywriting means writing the letter in the air using the muscles of the upper arm and shoulder in a full arm swing. The index and middle fingers are extended.
Blending Drill is in the Reinforcement Lesson
Teacher places cards into three piles according to auditory position and the student blends nonsense words as the teacher turns the cards, exposing different letters and combinations of sounds. When silent e is introduced, the teacher will make 4 piles of cards.
